After retiring from manufacturing, Gene LaDue decided to start his next chapter in life as a business owner. It was 2008 and he was in need of a very small shop, in an industrial park, situated close to the interstate. He found the perfect 450 sq. ft. space after meeting Larry Summers with The Miller Group. His startup facility was outfitted with the basics: a drill press, cutoff saw, bench grinder and the precise methodology of a seasoned machinist. In less than a year, he needed more room. The Miller Group has a unique inventory of industrial space and was able to move LMC into 1800 sq. ft. before the end of Gene’s first year lease. He is currently in a 4000 sq. ft. space and he will probably require 7000 sq. ft. by the end of the year. Helping to incubate companies like Gene’s is a hallmark of The Miller Group. Working with their inventory of commercial spaces, Gene was able to find the perfect fit for his growing business.
